Bailun Biotech provides advanced mass spectrometry analysis solutions for bioprocess R&D and production. It builds a fully automatic bioreactor system with metabolic flux analysis as the core. Its mass spectrometer product line covers key areas such as online tail gas analysis, metabolomics research and cell physiological parameter monitoring. The Bailun mass spectrometer system integrates thermal mass flowmeter, tail gas mass spectrometer and in-situ live cell concentration online determination instrument, which can detect metabolic flux parameters such as oxygen consumption rate (OUR), carbon dioxide release rate (CER), respiratory entropy (RQ) in real time, and supports accurate analysis of small molecule volatile substances such as ethanol and methanol. In response to high-throughput needs, the online mass spectrometry technology developed by Bailun combines the separation capability of liquid chromatography with the sensitivity of mass spectrometry detection, which can quantify attogram-level trace metabolites (such as hormones and amino acids) and achieve a dynamic range coverage of 6 orders of magnitude. The supporting computer software package supports multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) and data independent acquisition (DIA) modes, providing multi-dimensional data support for disease marker discovery, drug metabolism research and environmental toxicology assessment. In terms of system design, Bailun uses quadrupole mass analyzer and electron bombardment ion source technology, and realizes continuous ionization and mass-to-charge ratio separation of exhaust gases from multiple fermentation tanks through a multi-channel rotary valve. Combined with the in-situ capacitance detection principle (0.1-10MHz alternating electric field polarization of living cell membrane), it significantly enhances the biological significance of live bacteria concentration detection.
