Chemical Production
Bailun Biotech focuses on synthetic biology and enzyme catalysis technology to provide efficient and low-carbon biosynthesis solutions for the chemical industry, and promote the upgrading of traditional chemical production to a sustainable model. Through the construction of microbial cell factories and metabolic pathway optimization technology, we achieve the green synthesis of bio-based materials (such as succinic acid, 1,3-propylene glycol), natural flavors (vanillin, menthol) and environmentally friendly solvents (lactic acid esters, bio-based ethylene glycol), replace petroleum-based raw materials, and significantly reduce production energy consumption and carbon emissions; relying on enzyme directed evolution and immobilization technology, we develop high-stability industrial enzyme preparations, which are applied to the splitting of chiral drug intermediates, oil hydrolysis and textile auxiliaries synthesis, improve reaction efficiency while reducing the use of heavy metal catalysts, and the process complies with REACH regulations and the twelve principles of green chemistry. In the field of biodegradable materials, we build a large-scale fermentation system for polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA), break through the cost bottleneck of traditional processes, and the mechanical properties and thermal stability of the products meet the standards for replacing petrochemical plastics. At present, the technological achievements have been successfully applied to the production of bio-based nylon monomers, plant-based surfactants and degradable packaging materials. The key processes have passed the TÜV carbon footprint certification, helping chemical companies to achieve both environmental friendliness and economic benefits.
